STRANAHAN FOUNDATION

Small Grants/Immediate Needs – Guidelines and Instructions

 

IMPORTANT:  The Small Grants/Immediate Needs grant application opportunity is separate and distinct from the grant application opportunities discussed elsewhere on this website.

 

Purpose:  Small Grants/Immediate Needs offers the ability to apply for a small grant when:  (a) the amount requested is $5,000 or less, and/or (b) a need arises that requires a quick response and cannot reasonably be delayed.  

 

Eligibility:  The ONLY organizations eligible to apply are those that: (a)  have received a grant from the Stranahan Foundation within the past five years, and (b) have current 501 (c ) 3 status with the IRS.

 

Size of Request:   Requests may be in the $500 to $5,000 range.

We believe that every person in our society should have access to the creative process and that the arts have a unique and powerful ability to improve the quality of our lives because they:

 

 

The Foundation has a particular interest in programs that reach out to and include those who might not otherwise have such opportunities. We are especially excited by programs which directly engage participants, of any age, in the creative process.
