NOTE: Applicants seeking funds for programs that have not been submitted for review by the Foundation in the past should submit an initial letter of inquiry. Before you begin filling out the online application, please review the Grantmaking Procedures section of this website for IMPORTANT information regarding the letter of inquiry requirement, deadline dates, etc.
Completing the Online Grant Application
The Online Grant Application form contains the following sections:
- Organization Profile - Must be completed by all applicants
- Financial Information - Must be completed by all applicants
- Current Request - Must be completed by all applicants
- Capital Projects - Complete only if you are requesting funds for a capital project, (such as facility purchase or renovations, equipment purchases, etc.)
- Required Documents - All documents described in this section must be completed/assembled by all applicants and mailed to Foundation office
- Review/Print/Submit - Must be completed by all applicants
NOTE: Completing all sections of the Online Grant Application is one step in the proposal process. That is, additional documents - which must be received in the Stranahan Foundation office by the deadline date - are required in order to complete your proposal. These requirements are explained in further detail in the "Required Documents" section of the online application.
Please do not wait until the grant deadline to submit your proposal. If more proposals are received than we can handle at the last minute before the grant deadline, we may be forced to defer some grant proposals until a later cycle. Deadlines for full proposals are: by 12:00 p.m. (Noon) on July 1st; and November 1st. If the deadline falls on a weekend, proposals are due the preceding Friday by 12:00 p.m. (Noon).
